Programme Overview

Under this MOU, Lernx offers enrolled students a structured internship with hands-on recruitment experience, spanning a probationary training phase followed by a live work assignment across specialised departments.

Days 1–7  ·  Probation
Probationary Training & Orientation

The first seven (7) days constitute a mandatory probation period. During this phase, interns will:

  • Attend onboarding sessions on Lernx's recruitment methodology and tools
  • Learn the complete intern hiring lifecycle — sourcing, screening, scheduling, and onboarding
  • Practise on live HR intern hiring drives, as HR internship roles are entry-level and ideal for hands-on simulation
  • Undergo daily task reviews and performance evaluations by assigned mentors
  • Complete a probation assessment at the end of Day 7 to qualify for department assignment
Day 8 Onwards  ·  Live Assignment
Department Assignment & Live Work

Following successful completion of probation, each intern is assigned to one of four departments based on probation performance and personal preference. From this point, interns handle real, live recruitment and organisational tasks contributing directly to Lernx and its partner companies.

Ongoing  ·  Completion
Certificate, Letter of Recommendation & Closure

Interns who complete the full tenure satisfactorily receive an Internship Completion Certificate, a Letter of Recommendation from Lernx, and performance-based referrals to partner companies for placement opportunities.

🎯 Why HR Intern Hiring for Practice?

HR intern roles are the most abundant and easiest to fill — making them the perfect low-stakes environment for trainees to learn real recruitment workflows without disrupting critical senior hiring pipelines. Interns build speed, judgement, and communication skills before moving to partner company mandates.

Note: Probation performance directly determines department preference eligibility. Interns failing the Day 7 assessment may be placed in an introductory support role for an additional evaluation week.
Department Structure

Interns are assigned to one of the following four departments after probation. Each department operates with defined KPIs and weekly deliverables reviewed by department leads.

🤝
Onboarding & Intern Support

Responsible for welcoming, orienting, and supporting newly joined interns throughout their first two weeks.

  • Coordinate day-one communications for incoming batches
  • Manage onboarding documentation and task assignments
  • Conduct check-in calls and resolve early queries
  • Maintain intern engagement and attendance records
  • Escalate dropout risks to college coordinators
📣
Collaboration & Outreach

Drives awareness of Lernx internship and hiring programmes through college networks and digital outreach.

  • Connect with student communities and placement cells
  • Draft and send outreach communications to colleges
  • Coordinate with institutional TPOs for campus drives
  • Manage social media posts and WhatsApp broadcast outreach
  • Track conversion metrics from outreach campaigns
🏢
Hiring & Recruitment — Partner Companies

Manages end-to-end intern hiring mandates for Lernx's partner companies, handling real sourcing and selection.

  • Receive and understand hiring briefs from partner companies
  • Source candidates via Spehre, LinkedIn, and job portals
  • Screen and shortlist candidates against role criteria
  • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and partners
  • Track offer-to-join ratios and placement closure
🎤
Interview Department

Conducts first-round screening interviews for HR intern and entry-level candidate pools on behalf of Lernx and partners.

  • Conduct structured screening calls (15–20 min)
  • Evaluate candidates on communication and motivation
  • Record feedback in ATS and submit evaluation reports
  • Flag high-potential candidates for expedited placement
  • Maintain interview completion targets (minimum 5/day)
Roles & Obligations

Both parties accept specific responsibilities to ensure interns benefit maximally from the programme and that operational continuity is maintained throughout the MOU tenure.

🏢  Lernx — Obligations to Interns & Institution
1
Provide structured 7-day probation training with dedicated mentors, materials, and daily task reviews before assigning live work.
2
Assign interns to departments based on performance merit and preference, ensuring no arbitrary placement.
3
Issue Internship Completion Certificate and Letter of Recommendation to all interns who successfully complete their tenure.
4
Provide real hiring experience for Lernx itself and its partner companies — interns work on live mandates, not simulations.
5
Maintain monthly reporting on intern performance, attendance, and progress to the institution's designated coordinator.
6
Offer placement referrals to top-performing interns across Lernx's network of partner companies upon completion.
7
Ensure a respectful, harassment-free remote work environment with accessible grievance redressal.
🎓  Educational Institution — Obligations
1
Designate a Nodal Officer / TPO Coordinator as the single point of contact for Lernx for all operational and student-related communications.
2
Ensure mandatory attendance — interns enrolled under this MOU must maintain a minimum 85% attendance throughout the internship duration. The institution is responsible for enforcing this.
3
Prevent mid-internship dropout. The institution must actively monitor intern continuity and intervene in cases of absenteeism or intent to withdraw. Unjustified dropouts shall be flagged in the institution's placement records.
4
Provide academic credit / recognition to interns for participation in this programme where applicable under the institution's internship credit policy.
5
Facilitate Lernx outreach activities on campus — including hiring drives, orientation sessions, and awareness campaigns — providing access to students and a communication channel through the placement cell.
6
Share monthly intern status reports with Lernx — including attendance data, dropout cases, and any disciplinary matters that may affect performance.
7
Ensure students participate with genuine intent and professional commitment. The institution shall not enrol students unwilling to complete the programme just for the sake of filling MOU quotas.
